2 Song- You Belong with Me (Taylor Swift)- Students should not let peer pressure affect their decisions. BULLYING is wrong. 3 elements of bullying 1) FORCING someone to do something, 2) MAKING FUN of people, 3) ISOLATING others in play, communications. or the workplace.
3) Song- Gift of a Friend (Demi Lovato)- 3 main instruments demonstrated are 1) GUITAR- originated in SPAIN, 2) PENNYWHISTLE or IRISH TIN WHISTLE- originated in Scotland & Ireland respectively and 3) FIDDLE- originated in EUROPE.
4) Song- This Is Me (Demi Lovato)- 1) Students should strive for self-confidence 2) Repeat often: I CAN DO IT 3) Repeat often: I'M SMART
5) DANCE- Scottish Highland Fling- 3 dance steps to observe. Feet: 1) SHEDDING 2) TOE-HEEL 3) SHAKE & ROCK
6) Song- Swallowtail Jig- 3 major categories of instruments demonstrated: 1) WOODWINDS, 2) STRINGS, 3) PERCUSSION
7) Song- Naturally (Selena Gomez)- Ancient Greeks viewed 3 elements in addition to the EARTH: 1) FIRE, 2) AIR, 3) WATER Such elements are often used as powerful symbols. In this song you will find THUNDER & LIGHTNING used as symbols of powerful emotions.
8) I See the Light (From Tangled- the movie)- Explain 3 Part Harmony as demonstrated in this song.
9) A Place In This World (Taylor Swift)- 1) To try and fail is okay, 2) Learn from mistakes, 3) Continue your education. These 3 things are how students "find their way" in the world.
10) DANCE- Scottish Sword Dance- Good luck superstitions, charms and beliefs are found in all cultures around the world. In this ancient dance, if the dancer did not touch the crossed swords with his feet it was good luck for the clan in the upcoming battle. 3 good luck charms in Texas culture are: 1) Four leaf clovers 2) Eating black-eyed peas on New Years Day 3) Rabbit's foot

15) I Believe (Elvis Presley)- Every culture is a mixture of various belief systems. In the USA we allow for all peoples to hold and practice their own belief system. Examples of 3's in belief systems are: 1) 3 Ancient Greek Muses- Music, Poetry & Dance 2) Ancient Mayans- the Goddess Ixchel is portrayed as intervening as a young woman, mother, old woman 3) Christianity- Father, Son, Spirit as 3 portrayals of a deity.
